Data protection

We collect customer data as part of the processing of contracts. In doing so, we observe in particular the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act. Without the customer's consent, we will only collect, process or use the customer's inventory and usage data insofar as this is necessary for the processing of the contractual relationship and for the utilisation and billing of telemedia.

The personal data that you provide to us, e.g. when placing an order or by e-mail (e.g. your name and contact details), will only be processed for correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you have provided us with the data. We only pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. In order to process payments, we pass on your payment data to the credit institution commissioned with the payment.

We assure you that we will not pass on your personal data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have given your express prior consent. Insofar as we utilise the services of third parties for the implementation and handling of processing procedures, the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act are complied with.

Personal data provided to us via our website will only be stored until the purpose for which it was entrusted to us has been fulfilled. If retention periods under commercial and tax law must be observed, certain data may be stored for up to 10 years.

We will not use customer data for advertising, market or opinion research purposes without the customer's consent.

However, we cannot allocate this data to specific persons. Furthermore, there is no link or merging with other data. This data is used solely for statistical purposes.

Objection/right to information

The customer has the right to information at any time relating to the personal data saved on them, its origin and recipient, as well as the purpose of the data processing. For any questions which this privacy statement was not able to answer, the customer can contact us at any time. Requests for blocking, deletion or correction can be sent to us via the address provided in the company information.

Cookies

Our internet pages use so-called cookies, which serve to make the offering more user-friendly and secure. Cookies are small text files which are saved on your computer by your browser. The do not contain any viruses, nor do they cause any harm to your computer. The cookies used by us are usually deleted again at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and allow us to recognise your computer the next time you visit us (so-called permanent cookies). Our partner companies are not permitted to record, process or use any personal data from our website using these cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. However, this may affect the range of functions of our offers.

Facebook

Elements from Facebook are integrated into our websites. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). Each time one of our websites with a Facebook element is accessed, data relating to the customer is transmitted to Facebook and stored at Facebook. This is the aforementioned “statistical data”. If the customer is registered with Facebook and is signed into Facebook while visiting our website, Facebook can recognise which of our websites that customer is currently visiting and can link this information to the customer’s personal user account on Facebook. Furthermore, by clicking the “Like” button or posting a comment through Facebook, this is stored and transmitted to Facebook, where it is saved along with the customer’s personal user account. The coupling of data with the person of the customer can be prevented by logging out of Facebook before visiting our websites, or by deleting the Facebook cookies. We would like to point out that we as the website provider  receive no information relating to the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. You can find more information in Facebook’s privacy statement at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

Facebook Pixels, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

We use on our websites the so-called Facebook pixel of the social network Facebook, which is owned by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or – if you are based in the EU – Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. The Facebook Pixel is a JavaScript code that is included on our website for statistical and market research purposes. This makes it possible for Facebook to identify visitors to our online offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements (so-called “Facebook Ads”).

The Facebook Pixel is therefore used to display the Facebook Ads we have posted only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or certain features (eg interests in certain topics or products based on the websites visited determined), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”). Moreover, it is possible for us to see whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad to check and understand the effectiveness of Facebook ads (so-called “conversion”) due to the Facebook pixel.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and therefore guarantees compliance with European data protection law: (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active)

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the Data Use Policy of Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Details on how the Facebook pixel works can be found in the Help section of Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can object to the collection by Facebook pixels and the use of your data to display Facebook ads. You can also choose your advertising preferences, which specific types of ads you want to see within Facebook:

Google Analytics

On our websites, we use Google Analytics, a website analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are saved on the customer’s computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website by the customer. The information generated by the Cookie on the use of these websites is generally sent to a Google server in the USA and saved there. However, in the case of the activation ofIP anonymization  on these websites , the IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within the European Union member states or in other signatories  to the agreement across the European Economic Area.Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate the use of the websites to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with additional services related to the website and internet use. The IP address transmitted as part of Google Analytics from the customer’s browser is not combined with other data from Google. The customer can prevent cookies from being saved by making the appropriate setting in the browser software; we would however like to point out that doing so might mean that not all functions of this website can be used to their full extent. The customer can furthermore prevent the recording of data generated by the cookie and related to the use of the website (incl. the IP address) and prevent this data from being sent to and processed by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

As an alternative to the browser add-on, or within browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent Google Analytics from recording data on this website in the future by clicking this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This causes an opt-out cookie to be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you have to click this link again.

Use of remarketing or “similar target groups” function from Google Inc.

On our website, we use the remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc. (“Google”). Using this function, the provider can address the users of the website with targeted advertising by activating personalised, interest-related advertisements for users of the provider’s website when they visit other websites in the Google display network. To carry out the website usage analysis, which forms the basis for the generation of the interest-related advertisements, Google uses so-called cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are saved locally in the cache of your internet browser. The data thereby collected  is not passed onto third parties. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. However, this may affect the range of functions of our offers.

The cookies record  visits to the website as well as anonymized data on the use of the website. No personal data relating to the visitor to the website is saved. If you then visit another website in the Google display network, you are displayed advertisements that most probably take into consideration previously accessed product and information areas.
